Story Plot:

There’s no effective way to describe the mushi – They simply are. They simply have been since life first began. As with many other things, man has forgotten how to see. And just as it’s difficult to describe the feel or texture of an object to someone who’s never held it in his own hands, to one who’s never seen the mushi…

Between this world and the next, there is a point where it becomes impossible to distinguish between plant and animal, between life and death. It is a place man was never meant to tread… This is where you will find the mushi. Neither good nor evil, they are life in its purest form. An unseen river reshaping the path of man, through their very presence we are changed.

Vulgar and strange, they have inspired fear in humans since the dawn of time and have, over the ages, come to be known as “mushi.”

I miss watching this show. Beautiful stories told with beautiful scenery, pace, and music! Each episodes are quite intriguing and makes you want to dwell into the world of mushi. When I first watched this series, I thought mushi are real, haha. After doing some research, I found that they are made up from the creator's imagination. =w=; It would be fascinating if they are real, but it may be a little scary, for some of them can be quite a handful. I also love how you could pick up some life lessons every now and then during each episodes. Well, must I say more? No, just go watch it. *w*b

This may be a subtle point that I notice in the series, but notice how Ginko is the only one who wears different (contemporary) clothing while everyone is dressed similar (the clothing range between the time of Edo and Meiji periods). It almost makes Ginko appears different from everyone else, as if he is something more.

Crunchyroll streaming Season 2: 蟲師 続章 (Mushi-Shi Zoku Shou)

Goodness, season 2 is coming out! If not for Crunchyroll hosting it on their site, I would have never known. Always hoping there was more to this wonderful series~ x3
